Inukshuk 30/25 is designed for adult dogs with higher daily energy demands.
It is often used for active dogs, working dogs, sporting dogs, hunting dogs, kennel dogs, and adult dogs that need more energy than 26/16 provides. It may also be a good fit for dogs that are working to maintain body condition through higher activity periods.
Formula choice should be based on the dog’s workload, body condition, stool quality, and feeding needs.
-
Yes, Inukshuk 30/25 can be a good fit for active adult dogs that need more calories and fat than a moderate-energy formula provides.
30/25 is often used when a dog’s daily output increases through training, work, sport, hunting season, kennel activity, or colder weather.
If your dog is active but maintaining weight and condition well on 26/16, there may be no need to move up. If your dog needs more energy in the bowl, 30/25 may be the next step.
-
Inukshuk 26/16 is an All Life Stage formula and is often the best starting point for regular dogs, puppies, seniors, and dogs with moderate activity.
Inukshuk 30/25 is a higher energy Adult Maintenance formula for adult dogs with greater daily demands. It provides more fat and calories than 26/16, which can help active adult dogs maintain condition with less feeding volume.
If your dog needs more energy than 26/16 provides, 30/25 may be a better fit.
-
Inukshuk 30/25 is a high-energy formula for active adult dogs. Inukshuk 32/32 is the highest energy formula in the Inukshuk line.
30/25 is often the right step for dogs that need more energy than 26/16 but do not require the calorie density of 32/32. 32/32 is typically used for very high-output dogs, endurance work, hard keepers, and dogs with heavy energy demands.
Because 32/32 is very calorie-dense, feeding amounts should be managed carefully.
-
For most puppies, we recommend starting with 26/16 or Marine 26/16.
Inukshuk 30/25 is an Adult Maintenance formula and is generally better suited after one year of age or when otherwise appropriate. Growing puppies usually do best starting with an All Life Stage formula.
If you are unsure which formula fits your puppy, contact our team, speak with your breeder or veterinarian before moving to a higher energy adult formula.
-
Start with the feeding guide on the bag, then adjust based on your dog’s body condition, activity level, stool quality, and weight.
Because 30/25 is nutrient-dense and calorie-dense, your dog may need less food by volume than they did on another brand. Feeding needs can also change with season, workload, age, and daily activity.
If your dog is gaining unwanted weight, reduce the amount slightly. If your dog is losing weight or struggling to maintain condition, increase gradually or consider whether 32/32 may be a better fit.
